Life is Crime - Playing Guide
What follows is a series of basic hints and tips for getting the most out of playing Life is Crime by Red Robot Labs; follow these simple tips and you'll be playing a better game and progressing through the levels quicker and easier.
There aren't ant cheats for this game, the best way to advance is to play your best game and follow this advice.
Basic Strategies:
There are two basic strategies that you should follow:
STRATEGY 1 - Build Cash:
Early players (up to Level 12) – push for money, XP is easily gained at these early levels so the best strategy is to build up your money, get yourself on the leaderboard (Top 20) on as many Locations as possible, for each one you are on the Leaderboard for you’ll earn cash everyday; obviously the higher up the rankings you are the more cash you will get.
STRATEGY 2 - Build XP and Levels:
From Level 12 onwards – You should have a fair bit of cash coming in now and gaining the next level will start to take a little longer; focus now on completing the tasks at Locations (Extort, Visit, Mug, Harass etc etc); you’ll quickly see your XP rise and your rank increase too.
Play every day/play all day:
If you are serious about the game then play every single day; Login as many times as you can during the day, ideally you want to hit it so that when you next look at your phone your energy and stamina has build up to 80-100 percent (your earn an extra energy point roughly every two minutes or so)
Do not kill:
If you are in the lower levels and you start killing people, you’ll soon find that they all start attacking you back (especially now everyone knows who has killed them!). The best approach is not to kill everyone you fight with, just fight with them until you think that your next attack will kill them then stop; you'll increase REP, XP and money and not risk retaliation!
Make friends:
Make friends and increase your Mob; it will help you fight and defend yourself.
Location points:
Fighting people you see in a Location leaderboard will earn you additional Location points if you are successful; fighting people from the Map view will not!
Gift:
Send gifts to your friends often, send about 15-20 a day; work on the assumption that you'll get about 50% back, so if you send out 20 gives, you'll get 10 back which is the most you are allowed to accept each day anyway.
Gift Energy as this is the most useful commodity; with more Energy you can complete more tasks improving your XP quicker.
Briefcase:
In here you’ll find cash when you convert any packages that you buy or win in fights into cash. Cash in here cannot be lost, so only get it out when its needed to buy items or to put into the bank.
Collect:
In the homepage you’ll see how much you can collect for your daily earnings from the Locations that you are in, keep in here until you want to bank it.
Join a good Gang:
Look around and join a good gang for two reasons. 1) It’s a good way to interact and learn from other players and 2) when Red Robot launch a new gang contest if you are in a good gang then you have the chance of winning some great and really useful prizes.
Search Locations:
Search Locations often, not necessarily for the packages that you might find and grab (only really useful if you are at below level 12and need extra cash), but for the special items (Easter Eggs, Bananas, Health kits etc) that you can often find that are possibly more valuable in game.
Keep getting attacked by the same person?
They might just be after your turf so it will stop when they have the Location points that they want; try to fight them back, they might stop when you have killed them a few times. If they don’t stop then try making friends with them, this tactic usually works.
Also …
If you think you are going to get attacked again keep an eye on your Health, if it starts to go down then quickly add more Health from health kits that I’m sure you will have saved; this can often win you the fight as the other player will realise that they are using too much Stamina to kill you!
Turf War:
Never get into a turf war unless you really seriously want to be Kingpin at that Location as it will cost you time, effort and usually money as you will buy extra R2 credits to keep your stamina going.
Missions:
Don’t worry about these too much, below level 18 the rewards aren’t brilliant anyway. You’ll find that you’ll finish some of the missions in normal gameplay.
Achievements:
Same as with the Missions, play your usual game and you’ll find that you’ll start to gain the achievements anyway.
Free R2 Credits:
Navigate to ‘SHOP’ and click on “EARN R2 CREDITS” (bottom right hand side of the screen), downloads and launch the games listed to earn free credits.
